The Top Tier of Swedish Football
Allsvenskan, also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan, is the highest level of football in Sweden. Founded in 1924, it has a rich history and continues to be a competitive league today.
The 2021 Allsvenskan season marked the 97th edition of the league. Malmö FF emerged victorious, claiming their 21st Allsvenskan title.
Allsvenskan comprises 16 teams that compete in a 30-round season. The top two teams qualify for the UEFA Champions League, while the third-placed team earns a spot in the UEFA Europa League. The bottom two teams are relegated to the Superettan, the second tier of Swedish football.
