The Slovenia Euro 2024 squad kicked off their second-ever European Championship campaign with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Denmark in Stuttgart. The match was a tale of two halves, with Slovenia dominating the first and Denmark the second. Slovenia took the lead through a goal from Benjamin Verbic in the 24th minute, but Denmark equalized in the 73rd minute thanks to Andreas Cornelius.
Slovenia have been drawn in Group C alongside Denmark, Serbia, and England. It is a tough group, but Slovenia will be confident of making it out of the group stages after their impressive performance against Denmark. Slovenia collected seven wins and 22 points in UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying, both records for them in a major tournament qualifying campaign.
